Russia and China are ‘stabilising’ the world, Putin tells Xi

Vladimir Putin highlighted the strengthening bond between Russia and China, emphasizing its stabilizing influence on the global stage during his two-day visit to Beijing.

Upon his arrival, Putin received a warm welcome from Chinese President Xi Jinping, complete with full military honors at the prestigious Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Addressing Xi, Putin underscored that the partnership between their nations is not opportunistic nor aimed at any specific entity. He emphasized how their collaboration on international issues serves as a stabilizing force in the global arena.

Despite concerns from Western quarters about China's support for Russia's economy and involvement in the conflict in Ukraine, the rapport between Putin and Xi has notably flourished in recent years.

In response, Xi Jinping affirmed the deepening ties between their countries, describing them as "good neighbors, good friends, and good partners." He expressed China's enduring commitment to being a steadfast ally to Russia.

Xi stressed the significance of the China-Russia relationship, urging both sides to value and nurture it, emphasizing its hard-won nature and the mutual benefits it brings.
